The Hoya Way to Pack for College (Fall 2020)

Students are only allowed to bring two luggage to campus this fall. How should you budget your space? We've compiled a list of college essentials that should take priority as well as a few things to bring if you've got some extra space.
The "duh" list:
Fall clothing + shoes (DON'T FORGET PJs)
Underwear + socks
Laptop + chargers
Calculator
Passport/IDs
Masks + Hand sani
Flip flops (you DO NOT want to shower barefoot)
Towel x2
Sheets + Bedding. (Urban Outfitters, Target, and many other places sell twin size bedding)
Laundry hamper. Target has a huge selection, but you can get these everywhere. Just make sure that yours has handles or straps so you can carry it easily to the laundry room.
Headphones/earphones (for those Zoom lectures ifykwim)
A reusable water bottle
Rain gear (ngl it rains a good amount so you'll want an umbrella or rain jacket)
Photos and posters for room decoration (These are thin and light so won't take up to much space in your bags)
Backpack or tote bag for your books
The "things you need but can buy after you arrive" list
Shower caddy + Toiletries + Toothbrush
Laundry detergent
Clorox Wipes
Tupperware + a set of cutlery
Notebooks + stationary (you can get this at the bookstore on campus)
Extension cords (I'd say having two -one by your bed and one by your desk- is the most convenient)
Snacks
The "things you don't need but would be nice to have" list:
A Bluetooth speaker (for those kickbacks or pregames or study jams).
A kettle (for tea, instant oats, soup, and legit anything else. This saved my life freshmen year).
A mini-fridge. People sell these on-campus usually during move-in so wait to get this until you're there.
A full-length mirror. Unless you have a bathroom or sink in your room there isn't a mirror to check out your outfits before you run out of the room. Ones that hang off of the door like this one are perfect for dorm life.
Is there anything else I should add to this list? Let me know in the comments!
